PICO Genesis at Pure Dermatology

PICO Genesis is a popular treatment that brightens skin and helps under eye concerns. It is safe in all skin colors and all skin types. This treatment is very popular in Asia and is also known as laser toning. The PICO genesis offered at Pure Dermatology is a setting on the Enlighten laser by Cutera and is a no downtime laser treatment for radiant skin. 

PICO genesis restores balance and clarity to skin – gently, predictably and quickly. PICO Genesis is non-invasive, with minimal downtime, and takes about 20 minutes and provides optimal results in as little as 2 treatments to make your skin appear lighter, brighter, and more even.

PICO Genesis is safe in all skin types and on the face and body and our providers at Pure Dermatology have experience treating all skin types and ethnicities with PICO Genesis laser toning.

PICO Genesis is a very safe and effective procedure may be used to improve the following skin concerns:

  • Sun spots
  • Freckles
  • Liver spots
  • Pigmentary problems
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Skin texture
  • Pigmentary concerns
  • Under eye texture
  • Face and body

Patients may experience mild pinkness and swelling for a few hours following the treatment but can expect to return to regular activities immediately following the treatment. It does not compromise the skin so you can put on makeup or return to work immediately after your treatment. Rarely, about 1/50 people experience a bumpy, itchy reaction that is easily treated with over the counter anti-histamines.
